July 26th, 2017 Update

I am just completing my first year on the board, and my second year as a homeowner. My family and I are so happy that we found this community to become a part of. I am also thrilled that I decided to join the board. It is truly unbelievable what this group of VOLUNTEERS is capable of doing-with the help of all the many other volunteers in the neighborhood! Lake James has some of the most caring, helpful and kind people around.

As a board member, I have learned that we go out of our way to do what we believe is in the best interest of Lake James and the community as a whole. No community is perfect, but Lake James and its members, do a wonderful job of being great! That being said, lets advertise our "great" lake. LJPOA is working with Karen at The Shirt Factory to get our LogoWear started, she has shirts, sweatshirts, hats, jackets etc, and several different logos currently available and will work with you to find what you’re looking for.

Sara compared companies offering logo wear. She believes the best as to cost and availability to the homeowners is The Shirt Factory 6123 W. Houghton Lake Drive 989-422-6455 in Houghton Lake. Our homeowners can buy any clothing item there or another store and bring it in to be embroidered. The location is very convenient for our homeowners and will not require anyone to store inventory in their homes. It would cost LJPOA $40-70 for the disc to be created for our logo. The Shirt Factory already has several logos that are available. Please note the pictures of available logos available now. she can change colors to meet different needs. Koozies have to be ordered by the dozen count, and the board has agreed to order those, since they have been so popular in the past. More info to follow!
