2024 Fish Stocking 

On November 21st, 2024, 1,400 fish were planted by Stoney Creek Fisheries at the boat launch. 500 5"-8" walleyes and 900 4"-6" black crappies were released. In addition, 10 gallons of fathead minnows (approximately 20,000) were also released to provide some cover to the released walleye and crappies. We were told that the fish were actually on the larger side of what was ordered and may be of legal size in 12-18 months.

This project was funded solely by donations from LJPOA members. Nearly $5,000 was raised from members. Thanks to all who planned and coordinated this year long project. Additional fish planting may occur next year.
